Show CIVILIANS TO HAVE TRAINING CAMP CHICAGO, Nov. 26. A step towards universal training has been taken by the government, according to Wharton Clay, executive secretary of the military training train-ing camps association, with the authorization authori-zation todav of Camp Zachary Taylor near Louisville, Ky., as a training camp for civilians. Mr. Clav announced tonight he received a dispatch from Charles B Tike, chairman chair-man of the Chicago branch of the association, asso-ciation, who is in Washington, declaring the government had authorized the use of Camp Zachary Taylor as a training carnp for civilians. The camp, which will be in command of Captain E. L. Beals, U. S. A., will start Januarv 6 and a limited number of civilians civil-ians will be enrolled for two weeks' training. Applicants, Mr. Clay declared, should apply through the association at its branches in various cities throughout the countrv. Mr. Clay said the camp would be run under the military authority of the government and it is expected others oth-ers will be started in differeirt parts of the country soon. |
