Show TO STUDY SAVING Will Transfer Unexpended Money to the Treasury General Fund. WASHINGTON, Nov. 26. Congressional investigation to determine what, savings of war appropriations wilj result from the sudden change from war to peace, will be begun next Monday by a house appropriations appropria-tions subcommittee, headed by Representative Represen-tative Sherley of Kentucky, committee chairman. Heads of all government departments de-partments will be called before the committee com-mittee as witnesses, Mr. Sherley said. In announcing the hearings tonight. Chairman Sherrey said that the main purpose pur-pose would be to determine what part of appropriations that have been made by congress are yet unexpended and to have this money transferred to the general fund of the treasury. The hearings also are expected to show In detail what expenditures have been made by various departments and what new activities have been undertaken by the departments during the war.
