Show BOILERMAKERS MUST RETURN TO WORK SAN FRANCISCO. Nov. 26. "The striking Oakland Boilermakers will receive re-ceive no further consideration from the government until they return to work," H. A. Brotherston, examiner for the United States shipping labor adjustment board," announced here today, following the refusal of the boilermakers to report re-port for work at the Alameda plant of the Bethlehem Shipping corporation yesterday yes-terday and today because of differences with the company. Two thousand boilermakers at the Bethlehem plant struck for a forty-four-hour week, payment on- the company's time and improved sanitary conditions. Discrimination against certain employees was said to be a. contributing strike cause. |
