Show DEAF MUTES TO PLAY AT SPOKANE JULY 4 Dummy Taylor, the famous pitcher for the New York National league team for ten years, will endeavor to demonstrate that his pitching arm is still good in Spokane on July 4. Opposing Mm will be Batiste, full-blooded Indian, who four years ago pitched for Portland in a Ifi-to-1 victory over Spokane, also a deaf mute. The two mutes will appear in a. game scheduled between teams representing Spokane and Seattle, as part of the convention con-vention of the Washington Association for the Deaf, to be held in Spokane July 3, 4 and S. While it has not been definitely settled, set-tled, it is likely that every member of the two teams will be mutes. |
