Show COLLEGE STUDENTS PRESENT PAGEANT Westminster Campus Scene of Pleasing Production by Alpha Gamma Club. The Alpha Gamma club of Westminster Westmin-ster college last evening gave an historical his-torical pageant on the college campus. A large number of friends of the college col-lege were in attendance. The pageant was staged out-of-doors between the two main buildings, a searchlight being used to illuminate the natural stage. Here the Alpha Gammas Gam-mas acted out the various episodes which carried through the pervading theme of the pageant "Education." Tho first episode opened with an Indian In-dian scene, which had all the reality of Indian life. Here the change was depicted after the influence of education educa-tion had had its effect on the Indian village. The following episode was based on historical fact, showing a scene of a schoolroom in the early days of Collegiate institute. The last episode depicted present day college life. The seasonal dances rendered by the girls of the club were exceptionally good. Miss Ruby Meakin and Miss Louise "Russell danced with admirable ability in the summer and winter dances. The drills and maze-running of the boys showed careful preparation. Subsequent to these, the girls again performed in a ...avpoie dance, which was executed with surprising skill. |
