The company intends to divide the big tract into small farms of forty acres and up. One part of the new tract consists of a 300-acre dairy farm, complete In every detail, with barns, sheds, dairy house, a good farm cottage, an abundant supply of culinary and irrigating water, excellent pastures and everything necessary to engage in the dairy business. On Friday night D. Carlos Kimball, Claude Richards, J. A. Capener and E. T. Capener, all members of the firm, left for Downey, Idaho, to inspect the big holdings of Kimball & Richards in that section. They will make a careful Investigation of farming conditions, which are reported to be very fine this spring. While at Downey the party will inspect the bfg irrigation canal and a number of iarge tracts of land which they have recently acquired. They will also con-eider con-eider a number of extensive improvements improve-ments which are contemplated for the Downev townslte, which they control. In the Downey project Kimball & Richards are acting as western representatives of the Kidder-Peabody company of J Jos ton, one of the leading banking houses of America. The company reports very favorable activity in home building at Highland Park, "where twenty new homes are rap-idlv rap-idlv nearing completion, and at South-gate South-gate Park, where fifteen cottages are being be-ing built. |
