Show EAGLES GIVE PLEDGE TO CHIEFDEECuTIVE Moral and Financial Support Sup-port Is Tendered to President Presi-dent Wilson. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, June 19. A decision pledging President Wilson the moral ( and financial finan-cial support of the organization in "upholding "up-holding the principles of democracy, justice jus-tice and equality" was virtually the first action of delegates who assembled here today for the annual convention of the intermountaln district, Fraternal Order of Eagles. The first session was held this morning and the convention will continue Wednesday and Thursday. About fifty delegates, representing 1 aeries in Idaho, Nevada, Wyoming and j Utah, were In attendance when Mayor A. R. Heywood delivered an address of j welcome at 9:30 o'clock. All convention sessions are being held In the lodge room of Ogden aerie No. 118, F. O. E., in the new club home on Grant avenue. Judge J. A. Howell delivered aft address in which he indorsed the Eagles' new plan of providing insurance for all members of the organization entering the service of the United States during the present war. The resolution pledging support to the president was introduced by John Boyle, a delegate from Hailey, Idaho. After the opening programme C. E. Carlile, president of the Ogden aerie, relinquished re-linquished the gavel to AV. A. Peters, president of the Intermountain association. associa-tion. At 4 o'clock the convention was adjourned until 11 o'clock Wednesday morning. The business sessions of the convention will be concluded Wednesday ! and Thursday will be given over to an : outing in the Hermitage grove, Ogden j canyon.
