Show UNMANAGEABLE AUTO DOES MUCH DAMAGE Baliy Motor Car Crashes Into Windows of Hotel Wilson Lobby Wben Owner Loses Control. An automobile belonging-, to J. C. Butler But-ler of Bingham became restless in front of the Wilson hotel last night and as a result the large plate-glass windows in the front of the hotel were demolished, the brass ?nard rail which protects peel pe-el estriane from falling Into a cellar way was torn down, electric and glass signs were broken and other damage done. Cigar girls, telephone girls and cierks thought the Germans were starting an air raid and in the Wilson grill diners thought the steamship John Barleycorn had been torpedoed. Mr. Butler attempted to back his car from the curb in front of the hotej lobby and, in order to escape hitting an east-bound east-bound East Second riouth street car, put on a full head oi steam forward. The car shot over the curbing, across the sidewalk and jumped a cellar entrance four feet wide before coming to a stop against tiie windows of tiie hotel. Tiie force of the crash was sufficient to send flyine glass a distance of twenty feet Into the lobby.
