A check for $500, the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute's donation to the Red Cross war fund, was tendered the local Red Cross chapter by Secretary-Treasurer Secretary-Treasurer F. W. Whiteside. The meeting opened with the sin pins of "America," nnd closed with the "Star-S-panpled Banner." The Salt Lake delegation dele-gation led in the song; festival, joined In by the several hundred guests of the hotel and residents of the town. There were a number of patriotic speeciies delivered. The evening's entertainment enter-tainment closed with a ball at the Hotel Colorado. |
