Show Younjl Saint Hurler Is Sent to Butte for Seasoning AEOLPH SCHINKLB. VfANAGER BILL BBRNHARD of the Salt Lake club last night announced an-nounced that he had sent Pitcher Adolph Schinkle to the Butte club of the Northwestern North-western league for seasoning. Salt Lake has a very thick string attached to Adolph. "Schinkle couldn't get enough work with us to do him .ny good," said Bill, "and a young pitcher needs plenty of work. A year with Butte ought to round out Schinkle Into a great pitcher." Schinkle was acquired by the Saints at Fresno when the club was training at Porterville. He is a young giant, and has a perfect delivery, throwing with, a long sweep. He has plenty of "stuff" on the ball, but lacked the pitching wisdom so necessary in this league, where there are scores of former big leaguers, who although they may have slowed up on bases and in the field, can yet pelt the ball. |
