Show j Concrete Evidence of Utah Prosperity HERE is the story of the millions In dividends paid by the mines of Utah during the year that has just passed inLo history, but to speak truth it is of necessity only a partial and incomplete story at that, ' because many of the closely held corporations, corpora-tions, some properties operated by two or more partners, and the ground worked at a large profit by lessees, keep the matter mat-ter of '"velvet" to themselves. At the close of the year 1915 it was pointed out as a,n exceptional gain and record of which to be proud th.it the Utah niines had disbursed at least $9.6SS.44S in profits, an increase or" more than 36 per cent as compared with $7,102, S22 for the year of 1914. That in the year l!Hti the Utah mines whose balance is on the profit side of the led2;.?r should have distributed approximately approxi-mately $25,000,000, nearly treble the amount of the year previous, must be regarded re-garded not only as a conclusive demonstration demon-stration of the marvelous mineral re- sources of the state, but likewise as evidence evi-dence of the wonderful stimulus afforded the mining industry by the advance In the price of metals, the e:; tension and betterment of transportation facilities and the marked advance in scientific application appli-cation for the methods of treating the vast quantities of low-siarle ores, neglected neg-lected or regarded as worthless in former years. Herewith, in tabulated form, is a statement state-ment of the dividend-pnyinc mines of the state, showing the total amounts paid to date: Dividends on stock issued. Name of company. Nn. shares.
