The Budapest Abendblatt furnishes documentary proof that the murdered Austrian prime minister, Count Stuerghk. was married, although he posed as a bachelor to his end. and rumors in regard to his secret marriage were semi-ofticially denied, oven ! after ids death. Ju the fall of 1S02 the count took eev-; eral weeks' leave of absence and went to ; the Riviera. At the same time Miss Her- mine Fuchs, the daughter of a wealthy i merchant of Graz, departed for Nke, accompanied ac-companied by her mother. It was an open secret that the famous politician and parliamentarian, who then was still a baron, bad been paying court to the beautiful Miss Fuchs for some time. The marriage of the couple took place Bhortly after their arrival at Nice and was reported by the papers there, but the count could not overcome the opposition opposi-tion of his aristocratic family to his "bourgeois" wife and continued to pose as a single man. On his return to Vienna Vien-na he bought a cozy villa for his bride in one of tbe fashionable suburbs, where he spent most of his time, all hough he kept his bachelor apartments In the city and never showed himself in public with his wife.
