Show VICTOR IS HELD j N EARING CONTACT C. Fred Greene, general manager of the Victor Mining company, which is operating operat-ing in the Cotton woods, said yesterday that the company is rapidly driving its south drift toward the Cardiff contact and has driven fifty feet through good vein matter, some rich ore showing a:l through the drift, especially on the lime hanging wall. Here six or eight inches of good carbonate is being followed. The vein,, paid Mr. Greene, is six to efcht feet wide and is full of decomposed lime-talc, lime-talc, all interspersed with lead carbonate ore It is expected that within twenty feet more the Motor fissure will be reached, where a body of shipping ore should be found. Due to the fact that the work so far has been done in low-grade ore of almost shipping grade and that with every foot the ore gets richer and the vein more defined, the management is confident that tb.p Victor will soon be on the shipping ship-ping list. |
