Show Coffee Futures. NEW YORK, Nov. 10. further news was received from Brazil regarding yesterday's yes-terday's report that the government had closed the port of Rio and the absence of anv official announcement to the coffee exchange seemed to partially relieve the nervousness noted in the coffee futures market yesterday. Shipping news, however, how-ever, tended to emphasize the scarcity of freight room and after opening unchanged un-changed the market sold about 2 to 4 points net higher on renewed covering, with December touching 7.25c and July 7. S3'-. Later there was a little trade selling anil realizing which eased July off to 7.79c, with the market closing net 1 point lower to 3 points higher. December, Decem-ber, 7.25c; January, 7.33c; March, 7JQc; May, 7.64c; July, 7.79c; September, 7.93c. Spot coffee, steady; Rio 7s, 7-'c; Santos San-tos 4s, 9yc. Very few fresh offers were reported In the cost and freight market, but Rio grades were said to be a shade easier In tone. The official cables showed no change in primary markets, except Santos futures, which were- unchanged to 25 reis lower. |
