Martin Knight, assistant superintendent superintend-ent of the Antelope Star of Millard county, coun-ty, is in consultation -with officers of the company, closing arrangements for the beginning of regular shipments on Jan- . uary 15. 1 Mr. Knight, who is one of the pioneer mining men of the state, said yesterday yester-day that he had left the mine only the night before and that everything was in such condition as to convince him that Antelope Star would soon attract general attention. I Good progress is being made on the south tunnel, now in 140 feet, on lead-sllver lead-sllver ore. the body being from two to six feet wide, and in this development the values are increasing as the tunnel is driven forward. The north tunnel, now in 16o feet, is being driven toward the east and west fissure, and, , Mr. Knight believes, will reach this objective within forty feet. The incline shaft lias been sent down on this same fissure for sixty-five feet and the tunnel will get the same fissure at a depth of 200 feet. |
