Show DE0R6HHH OF PROGRESSIVES SURE Plans Well Under Way in Majority of States, Is the Latest Report That plans for the reorganization of! the national Progressive party are well under way in the majority of the states of the "Union is indicated in a letter received yesterday by A. T. Moon, Progressive Pro-gressive national committeeman from Utah, from John Robert Taylor, chairman chair-man of the reorganization committee in the state of New York. The Bull Moosers in New York plan to hold a state-wide conference at Albany Al-bany between January 1 and 10 at which plans for the reorganization of the national na-tional party will be outlined. These plana will be presented at the nationwide nation-wide conference which will be held in St. Louis at the call of acting Chairman Chair-man Matthew Hale of Boston. Prominent in the list of the faithful contained in Mr. Taylor's letter is the name of A. T. Moon, national commit-teemaa commit-teemaa from Utah. Among those in other states who are listed as faithful and who now are working to bring about the reorganization of the national party are mentioned: K. M. Lee of Indiana; J. C. Hook of Tennessee; H. F. Coch-ems Coch-ems of Wisconsin ; T. H. Wana-maker Wana-maker of South Carolina; H. H. Griff its, Iowa; Hugh H albert of Minnesota; F. J. Ilenev of California; W. H. Nichols, Vermont; J. M. Hale, Oklahoma; C. H. Hoffman, Michigan; ; C. W. McChire. Georgia; J. M. MeCor-mick, MeCor-mick, Texas; H. A. Moise, Louisiana; G. S. Obear, Alabama; L. H. Treischmann, Connecticut; I. E. Vernon, Maine; H. L. Anderson, Florida; Colonel J. M- In-gersoll, In-gersoll, Idaho; Burton Vance, Kentucky; Ken-tucky; B. F. Bridge, Missdppi; 0. H. P. Shelly, Montana; E. M. Harris, Rhode Island; C. N. Kimball, West Virginia, and R. D. Carey, Maryland. Although the names of Bull Moose leaders who were active in the campaign cam-paign of Charles E. Hughes are not in-eluded in-eluded in the list of the faithful, Mr. Taylor sets forth in his letter than many of them will be accepted in connection con-nection with the reorganization if they care to apply. He places the ban, however, on George W. Perkins and some of the national figures who followed Colonel Roosevelt back into the Republican fold. Mr. Taylor declares that Mr. Perkins will not be invited to the Albany conference and that his pocketbook will not be necessary to the reorganization of the pnrtv. He also intimate? the welcome which would await the colonel by mention men-tion in sr that "Colonel Roosevelt probably prob-ably will be in the Fiji islands when the conference is held." |
