Show 1 BOWLING 4 f Gemple of the Broadways was the boy to turn the trick, and if it hadn't been for a measly split in the ninth frame lie would have turned two of them. His score of 2:"iS, which he made the first time at bat, beat the league record for the Orpheum alleys, with some to spare. The former City league mark was and was held by Pop Hanes. while Bourne's count of 253 was the high one for the Commercial league and was the highest league game rolled on any alley in the city until Gemple spilled the beans last night. Gemp has been rolling in poor form lately, but his peg spilling last night has put him back into the optimist class and he says to watch out for him in the future. He also took the high three with 64?. Tiie Mineralites, in spite of the sensational sensa-tional rolling of the Broadways in Hie first game, when they upset 1004 of the wooden soldiers, took home the odd score, and they roied 177 pins less than their antagonists. The lvanhoes came back to life last night and took two games from the Su-perbas. Su-perbas. who were handicapped, doubtless, bv the absence of "A. W." Davis grabbed the high single game with a score and Walton annexed the ton three with a total to-tal of 5-"i0 pins. Fockholt, one of the Superbas' cracks, was out of the first heat and his team had to put up with a dummy score for that game, which is 140 in the City league. In the Telephone league's match last niglit the Construction crew walked away from the Commercial bunch with all three of the games, and that in spite of the fact that the Commercials had a star shooter in one Hummell. who snilled two scores above the -O mark and set a new high-three record for the league of "77. C. Teelum did some mighty fine shooting for the Constructioners. getting a total of o2 for the trio. Saturday night the Ogden five bowled the locals three games and then slipped back again after losing tiie entire bunch of games to the locals. The locals spilled the Maples above the l1"11"1" mark in one of 'he games. When the two-man games were rolled last nigh t Warner and Burt made it three straight from tiie G'rdwood-I.nve duo by the narrowest nf margins, csnp-cincy. csnp-cincy. the f'rst two garner.
