Show DATE SET FOR HEARING. The supreme court of the United States will hear arguments as to the constitutionality of the Adamson law on January 8, one week after the act goes into effect. It is not believed that either side to the controversy will take any action intended to precipitate a conflict in advance of the decision of the highest court in the land. The law was held unconstitutional by the federal feder-al court in Missouri without argument for the purpose of hastening final action. ac-tion.
