EAST HIGH STUDENT DIES AT HOSPITAL Charles Baumann Ripka, Second Year Cadet, Was Extremely Popular With Fellow Pupils. Charles Baumann Ripka. 16 years of age. son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip K. Ripka, 1340 South Second East street, died at a local hospital yesterday, a victim of pleu-ro-pneumonla. The boy was a student at the East high school and was a second-year member of the cadets of the school. He was extremely popular among his schoolmates and deep sympathy was expressed by the faculty when it became known among the boys that their friend had died. Besides his parents, young Ripka is survived by two brothers and two sisters, sis-ters, all living at home. Funeral sendees will be held at the residence at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. All East high school cadets and other friends are asked to attend. Following the services the body will be shipped to Philadelphia, the boy's birthplace. birth-place. His grandparents will receive the body and it will be buried in the eastern city.
