Show LAST TRIBUTE PAID I TO "PATSY" MARLEY ! Friends of Early Days Attend Funeral Services of Old-Time Prize Fighter and Prospector. With a few friends present, funeral services were held yesterday for "Patsy" "Pat-sy" Marlev, one-time prominent and popular prize fighter ami mining man, who had been a resident of Utah for more than forty years. The services were conducted by the Few Father Theodore Schultz at the O 'Donuell & Co. funeral chapel. During the services a man in tattered clothing tiptoed into the chapel. He stood in a far corner and several times wiped the mist from his eyes with the sleeve of his torn coat. Those present at the services did not question the stranger as to his identity. It was learned later that he was an old friend of the fighter who, owing to his present condition, did not wish to make himself any more prominent than possible. They felt, however, that the stranger was a true friend who desired to be one of the mourners. Interment took place in Calvary cemetery. |
