Show YULETIDE tableaux DELIGHT CHILDREN Members of Phillips Congregational Church Hold Christmas Exercises; Canipfire Girls Assist. The Phillips Congregational church members held their annual Christmas exercises in the church building at Seventh Sev-enth East and Fifth South streets last night. The church was decorated artistically artis-tically and a large audience was present. pres-ent. The opening event was a recitation by Dorothy Carlson. Homer L.. II oi-si'ngton. oi-si'ngton. Jr.". Evelyn Dobbs, Melba Parks and Prank Lewis also gave recitations. Helen Goodman sang a solo. All are members of the primary department of the Sunday school. The Canipfire Girls, under the direction direc-tion of Mrs. Homer Hoisingtou, gave an interesting sketch. Several tableaux were presented. Thev were "The Shepherds." ''Joseph and Marv bv the Manger.'' the ''Wise Men Offering Their Gifts" and "Rock of Ages. ' ' The characters were Charlotte Char-lotte Hiskin as Mary, Elian Gustave-son Gustave-son as the Angel, Clifford Rudine as Joseph, Clarence R a dine. Xuma Bros-soit Bros-soit ami Cyril Eynon as the Wise Men and Oliver Chy traits, Harold Chandler and Roy Robinson as shepherds. Hylon T. Plumb was in charge of the electrical effects. Homer L. Hoisingtou and James E. Scobee assisted. |
