Show WASHINGTON", Dee. 22 Colder I weather will overspread the east tomor- I row in the wake of a severe storm which " swept up the Atlantic coast today, ac- eompanied by rains and strong westerly i winds, reaching a velocity nf eighty-four I miles an hour at New- York and seventy- six miles at Norfolk. The lower lake and j Ohio valley regions had steady snows. Warninsrs to shippers are displayed along i the coast from Cape ffatteras north. Warmer weather now over the middle west will move eastward Sunday, says the weather bureau, but a storm appear- I ing now in the north Pacific and likely to swing across the country makes Christmas Christ-mas weather uncertain. There probably ill be no snow in the east, however, and temperatures will be moderate, the weather men say. |
