Show TO TEST BRAIN FOR TRACES OF RABIES Special to The Tribune. OGDEX. Dec. 22. Information has been received at the local headquarters of tlie Intermov.ntaln forest district that the brain of I-Yank A. Travis, a forest ranger who died suddenly at Elko, Nev., has been sent to the University of Nevada to determine de-termine whether the man died of rabies. Although the ranger's ieath was not characteristic of a fatal attack of the disease, dis-ease, four physicians are said to have diagnosed the malady as rabies. He is thought to have suffered the infection while butchering a hog. Tf it is proved that'the ranger died of rabies, his widow and three children will receive aid under federal compensation at the rate of about $65 per month for the widow and $20 each for the children. |
