Show FUMES FROM FIRE OVERCOME MILLMEN Special to The Tribune. ARTHUR, Dec. 22 Considerable excitement ex-citement was caused here tonight by a fire which originated In the wooden tunnel tun-nel leading from the heating1 plant to the Arthur mill of the Utah Copper company. The fire originated about 11 o'clock, prob ably from a spark, and continued until about 1 o'clock. Smoke was driven into the mill, where the night shift was working. The smoke became so dense that the men became confused and in several cases were overcome over-come by the fumes so that they had to be carried out by the volunteer mill and citizen lire lighters. None of the men was seriously affected. It was announced after the excitement had subsided that it will not be necessary to close down the mill. |
