Show RAILWAY WILL HELP Y. M. C. A. ADDITION Special to The Tribune. POCATELEO, Idaho, Dec. 22 Secretary Secre-tary E. A. Krussman of the local railroad rail-road Y. M. C. A. received a wire Thursday Thurs-day from E. E. Calvin, president of the Union Pacific, informing him that an appropriation of 11,000 had been made for the purpose of remodeling the present building and constructing a much needed addition. Immediately after the holidays Secretary Secre-tary Krussman and fhe board of directors will start a campaign to raise ?H,0o0 additional, ad-ditional, as a total of $25,000 is required for the desired improvements, which have been under consideration for the past year. It is planned to erect a new gymnasium which will be adequate for the needs of both of the boys' physical education and of the men's activities. An upper story over the gymnasium will furnish thirty-five thirty-five more bedrooms, of which the association asso-ciation is now sadly in need. In the basement base-ment of the new addition bowling alleys will be constructed and a separate boys' department will be provided. The present pres-ent gym will be turned into a lounging and reading room. With such plans on foot it is believed that the additional funds required will be raised without difficulty. |
