Show BAKER PROPERTY IS SHOWING UP WELL Orson Andrus, vice president and general gen-eral manager of the Baker Mining company, com-pany, the pioperties of which are in Big Cottonwood canyon, adjoining the Max-field Max-field on the north and east, was down from camp yesterday with highly gratifying gratify-ing reports of progress made and present conditions. Mr. Andrus says that the company Is in excellent shape for the winter campaign; cam-paign; that the work done in the No. 2 west drift, now in a distance of 700 feet, gave a strong showing of Iron, with some chlorides. He added that at a point 040 feet from the portal of the tunnel is the intersection of the bedded vein, the cropping crop-ping of which shows a good grade of shipping ship-ping ore 550 feet above the tunnel level. ' It is expected that this ore body will be cut within another forty feet of driving. |
