Show WOMAN ATTACKED BY RABID COYOTE Mrs. Emma Moaer Has Narrow Escape; Two Dogs That Were Bitten Are Killed. 'Special to The Tribune. JIALAD, Haho, jfov. 4.Mrs. Emma Moser, formerly of Salt Lake, but now a resident of Holbrook, a town a few miles west of Malad, was attacked yesterday yes-terday bv a rabid coyote. Mrs. Moser was washing clothes a short distance from the house when without warning, the coyote suddenly appeared and held her by the skirt. Fortunately the mad animal did not bite through her clothes, and her scroams soon brought the farm dogs to her rescue. res-cue. They fought the covote and finally released Mrs. Moser from its hold. By this time she wns at the door of her house, and Mr. Moser, who was working in the field a short distance from the home, had reached his wife. He shot the coyote. The bulldogs, which were exceptionally exception-ally good watchdogs, were both bitten by the coyote. One suddenly went mad and was killed. The other dog was chained up in the hope that he could be saved, but it was reported today that he showed signs of blindness, and will be killed. |
