Show COUNTY OFFICIALS RESENT RESOLUTION Commissioners Say Pollution of Water Takes Place in Territory Under Jurisdiction of City. "When the action of the city commission commis-sion in passing a resolution requiring the county to take immediate action in the improvement of road conditions in Big Cottonwood canyon came officially before the board of county commissioners commission-ers yesterday there was no little caustic comment. "I think the resolution is entirely uncalled-for and is wholly unfair to the commission. It does not show that the city officials have taken occasion to advise ad-vise themselves in the matter at all," was the comment of County Commissioner Commis-sioner C. F. Stillman. ' i Chairman A. H. Crabbe expressed j himself similarly and added that the ; matter looked as if "it was inspired by ulterior motives." Commissioner "Wheeler stated in the discussion that from consultation , with the county ,health officers he had learned that any pollution in the city's water supply occurs in the vicinity of the "horse camp" and "the south fork of the canyon, which is under the jurisdiction juris-diction of the city. At the suggestion of Chairman Crabbe the clerk was directed to write to the city commission, calling- attention atten-tion to tho fact that the pollution arises in citv territory and that the citv health department should take action' in this regard. |
