Show CITY COMMISSION REVISING BUDGET Convenins; as a board of estimates and apportionment, the city commission yesterday yes-terday morninc besran the revision of the midct of expenditures it the latter half of the year. The questions considered were con tinned until next Tuesday for fin.il action. City A ud i tor K. A. Bock advised the commission that there is contained in the budeet 516. 7.70 available for trans-fpr trans-fpr into funds. This sum is the amount which the city has withheld in its refusal to p:iv the board of education's share for t lie collect ion of taxes for tho Salt Lake City school district. With this amount the citv finds itself with more available revenue t h:' n was considered when the tax lew was fixed two d;iys aso. In veste;- ;ay's conference the general situation of the bud pet was reviewed. Several increased salary recommendations were referred to, but it was decided that the matter of salaries shall be considered os a separate phase of the budeet and these matters were laid over until Tuesday. |
