Show COUNTY TO SPRINKLE LITTLE COTTONWOOD Complaints from mining operators in Little Cottonwood canyon, to tlie effect that the dust of the roadway seriously hampers the ore hauling, and is also contaminating con-taminating the county water supply, urged the county commission yesterday to take action looking toward the inauguration in-auguration of a sprinkling system. The mining companies have offered to install feed pipes for the sprinklers and to furnish one team, provided that the county will furnish the wagons and one team. The. petition presented to tho commission was signed by fifty-seven mining men of the canyon, and A. O. Jacobsen, R. S. Lewis and L. E. Despaln appeared before the commission on behalf be-half of the signers. The committee declared de-clared that conditions in the Little Cottonwood Cot-tonwood canyon from dust are bad and that there should be an immediate remedy. rem-edy. The commission decided to call upon Summit countv for a sprinkler and also one from Park City, since all the county sprinklers are now In use. It Is expected that by tomorrow the assisting sprinklers will be' in operation and the remedying of conditions in the canyon begun. |
