Show WEST JORDAN WILL HOLD CELEBRATION Since the excavation work on the new factory of the Utah-Idaho Sugar company com-pany at West Jordan is well under way, those who started the agitation for a factory are now planning to celebrate because be-cause of the assured success of the movement. move-ment. The event is scheduled for October Octo-ber 14 at the rooms of the West Jordan Commercial club. Addresses will be delivered de-livered by T. R. Cutler, general manager of the Utah-Idaho Sugar company; W. C. Orero. president of the Salt Lake & Utah railroad, which passes through the tract of land on which the plant is to be built; J. R, Murdock, president of the Utah Lake Irrigation company, interested In considerable land that will afford beet acreage for the new factory, and J. W. McHenry, president of the United Commercial Com-mercial clubs of Salt Lake county. It is expected that the factory will be ready to care for the 1916 beet crop. In the meantime the sugar company is planning- to have the construction work done at times whea the farmers can't have the opportunity of working during their otherwise oth-erwise idle days. |
