Show FIGHT IN N. Y. PRIMARY OVER PERKINS'S JOB Two G. O. P. Candidates Are Contesting for District Attorney Nomination Nomina-tion in Gotham Today. NEW YORK, Sept. 27. Tomorrow is primary election day in New York, and although no mayor or governor is to be selected there is, nevertheless, decided interest in-terest in the party contests for nominations nomina-tions for the lesser offices to be filled. These Include six justices of the supreme su-preme court, a representative from the Twenty-third congressional district, assemblymen as-semblymen to the state legislature, aldermen alder-men to the local legislative body and the sheriff and district attorney. , The most spirited contest is for the Republican nomination for district attorney attor-ney In New York county. Charles A. Perkins, the incumbent, is opposed by Frank Moss, former assistant district attorney at-torney under Charles 8. Whitman. Mr. Perkins has the regular Republican party designation, but Mr. Moss Is fighting for a place on the ticket. He also is the unopposed candidate of the Progressives and the Independent Democrats. Judge Edward Swann is the unopposed candidate candi-date of the Democratic organization. |
