Manderfield visited the San Francisco fair on this trip and said that attend ance there ia holding- up well, being around 50.000 a dav. In Oakland Mr". Manderfield saw Joseph E. Oaine, former secretary of the Commercial club here, who recentlv engineered a consolidation of the Commercial Com-mercial club and the Chamber of Com pierce in Oakland, emerging as manag ing director of the consolidation. In the parte which visited the two fairs were Mr. and Mrs. Manderfield and Mr. and Mrs. (ilrnn p. Smith of Salt Lake and Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Erwin of Penvcr.
