Show SENIORS WIN TITLE Of BEATING SOPHS Fourth-year Men of West High School Have Easy Time in Final, . Outplayed and outfought, the shopho-more shopho-more class football team of the West High school lost to the fast senior team yesterday afternoon in the struggle for the class championship, by the score of 39 to 7. Many thought the game would be close, but the seniors started off with a rush and scored a touchdown after two minutes of pla y. Ha nsen recovered a fumble on the sophomore twenty -five-yard line, and on the next play Jordan circled left end for the first score of the game. The second touchdown was the result of a long forward pass, Jordan to Staines, who ran thirty -five yards for a score. The score at the end of the first period stood 14 to 0 In favor of the victors. The second quarter opened with a succession suc-cession of fumbles, in which the seniors lost the ball. After smashing line bucks, the seniors sent Jordan through right tackle for another touchdown. The half ended 20 to 0 for the seniors. During the third quarter Hansen made a sensational run of ninety yards without with-out interference for a touchdown. During Dur-ing the latter part of the period Jordan, the husky hark, was sent over the line for two touchdowns. The stars for the senior eleven were Jordan, Yeates, Hansen, Malone and Gilligan. Staines also played good football. foot-ball.
