Show WESTMINSTER IS TO ORGANIZE AUXILIARY Young Men and Women Appoint Committees Com-mittees to Formulate Christian Association Body. The students of Westminster college met yesterday morning to consider the organization of a young men's and young women's Christian association in connection connec-tion with the school. The young men appointed ap-pointed a committee composed of Prof. Iloyd. John A. Davies and Jack Murdoch Mur-doch to draw up a constitution for their organization. Margaret A. Bell, dean of women ; Hester Rutt. Eva Lloyd and Katheryn Davies were appointed by the young women for a similar purpose, and also to nominate officers for their organization. organ-ization. Although these organizations will not be a part of the national association at first, it is planned to have them unite with it as soon as the strength Is sufficient suf-ficient to warrant organization along the lines of the association proper. Westminster was represented in the T. M. C. A. student conference at Estes Park. Colo., this summer, and It Is planned to have It represented both In the young men's and young women's conferences con-ferences to be held at Estes Park next June. Considerable interest was manifested on the part of all the students present at the meetings yesterday, and they entered enthusiastically into the plans for the work as laid down by Prof. IIovd and Miss Bell. |
