Show JACKLING HAS NOT ACCEPTED N. Y. JOB His Office Here Is Not Advised as to Action in Respect of Subway Examination Offer, V. C. Jackling, the Utah mining engineer engi-neer and millionaire, is one of three engineers en-gineers of national prominence appointed by the public service commission of New York to Investigate the subway cave-Ins in New York City. This was announced in dispatches from New York yesterday. Mr. Jackling will not accept. His offices here, at the Utah Copper company, had received no advices about Mr. Jackling's appointment. The other two engineers named to act with Mr. Jackling in inspecting the subways sub-ways are Edmund S. Davis, chief engineer engi-neer of the Boston subway, and Henry H. Quimby, chief engineer of the Philadelphia Phila-delphia subway. |
