Expectancy Ex-pectancy of an attack hy Mexicans was apparent today on the part of the United States patrol along the Rio Grande above here, where nearly all the recent Mexican Mexi-can attacks have occurred. The day passed without incident, however. Major Edward Anderson of the Twelfth cavalry said that search for miles around the Progreeo crossing of the Rio Griande had shown no cluy to the missing Twelfth cavalryman. Richard J. Johnson of Mount Morris, N. J. Major Anderson said it seemed certain that Johnson either was killed and his body thrown Into the Rio GraJide or that he was carried . prisoner pris-oner to the Mexican side.
