Show HAWKINS DIES FROM ACCIDENTAL INJURY Youth Who Was Struck by Bullot in Local Pawnshop Succumbs to Complications. Floyd Hawkins, 25 years of age, who was accidentally shot in a pawnshop at 73 Commercial street last Saturday night, died, at St. Mark's hospital yesterday. yes-terday. Tho young man was a son of Harry and Ada Jenkins Hawkins of Ncphi, Utah, and a member of lodge No. 17. I. O. O. F., of this city. At the time of tho accidont Aaron Daniels, lb' years of age, was extracting the cartridges car-tridges from an automatic pistol wheu it was accidentally discharged, the bullet bul-let striking Hawkins, who was in the pawilshop, and piercing his abdomen. He was removed to St. Mark's hospital hos-pital for surgical attention. Complications Complica-tions devolopcd and resulted fatally 'yesterday. Daniels entered tho pawnshop with a chum, Samuel Wilkcy, who owned tlie pistol and wished to pledgo it with the pawnbroker. Before it was turned over to the money lender, Daniels took the pistol from the hands of his friends and undertook to make it safe bv removing tho cartridges, his precaution precau-tion proving not so successful as well intended.
