Show FIND NO RELATIVES OF EUGENE DARLING Efforts Made to Locate- Paxnily of Aged Artist Who Died in Police Station Basement. According to telegraphic word from "Boston. Mass., efforts mado by the police hero to locate relatives of Eu-geno Eu-geno Darling, 83 years of ago, who died in tho basement of tho Salt Lnko police station ten days ago, have proved fruitless. Por several weeks previous to tho time of his death tho aged man had been a regular lodger at headguartcrs. He said that ho wus an artist and painter by calling, but explained that he had met with financial reverses, Though he said ho had lived in Salt Lake for nearl' a dozen years, ho was without relatives hero and no one seemed to know whore his relatives lived. His apparent good health wan several times remarked by persons who !iaw him at headquarters and his sudden sud-den death was a surprise to thoso who had seen him about. Hearing that relatives of the aged man were living iu Boston, Chief of Police B. P. Grant telegraphed tho po-lico po-lico there to investigate. Last night word was received that no relatives could bo fouud. Darling himself told at headqnartcrs ono night that he had both a sou and a daughter living, but no one can recall where he said they wcro residing.
