Tho juniors of tho Granito High school gave their programme before tlie weekly assembly yestordaj-. Thcso programmes pro-grammes aro loolccd forward to as one of tho most important events of the classes each year. Tho privilege has beon granted to each class to take up tho ontire timo for an entertainment, which shall bo mado up entirely of talent of tho class. Tho scuiCrs arc the only othors that havo given their programmes pro-grammes this vear, and woro about on an equal standing as to quality. Tho two lower classmen will givo their programmes pro-grammes in tho order of thoir standing in yoars. These programmes arc held every "Wednesday until every class has its turn, Tho programme yestorday was ono of tho best that has been given in tho assembly as-sembly this year. It opened with an address by Principal A. S. Benson, followed by "a selection by the junior quartette, which is represented bv Miss Virginia Judd, Miss Edith Homo, Arthur Voclkor and Alphonzo Thorum. Miss Hattio Bagloy, who was chosen to represent Granito in iho oratorical contest, gave a recitation. "Charley and Me." Miss Virginia ,1udd was next on tho programme with a vocal solo, and was followed by Miss Grace Smith iu a piano solo. The junior class song and a solo by Miss Mary Hoeso concludod tho musical part of the Juniors' ontor-tainmoiit. ontor-tainmoiit. Tho "Baby History'' of tho junior class was civen by Miss Inez Whitbcck. This was supposod to have been scenes of nurscrv days in tho early history of tho Salt Lalco theater, and was considored the fcaturo of tho programme. |
