At the close of tho 10:30 classes the seniors assembled on tho steps of tho library building and began a march to the assembly hall. As tho last of the seniors passed the approach to the new administration building the members of tho junior class attached thcmselvos to tho train and accompanied tho seniors to the chapel hall. The juniors were also dressed in caps and "owns, but uot of the regulation cut. The caps were of black cardboard and would scarcely have covered the head of Happy Hooligan, Hooli-gan, while tho gowns were of black lining lin-ing and reached down the body only about half wa3 to the waist. At the closo of the meeting the seniors sen-iors went their several ways for lunch, but the juniors again formed in line and began a march around tho college circle. The procession was headed by P.OSCOC Ashworth attired in the costume of the medieval scholar. Behind him followed in order three junior men impersonating im-personating the seniors in each year of thoir colloge life. Following "this quartette inarched six men in domino suits bearing a draped coffin with the figures '14 on tho side. When the circle had been completed t:no coffin was set on fire and as it burned away Poscoe Ashworth, "the ancient professor," entertained the assembled as-sembled students with an obituary speech over tho "dead" seniors. |
