Show L. J. VANCE DIES. Life-Long Resident of Alpine Succumbs to Dlsoaso of Kidneys, Special to The Tribune. AMERICAN KOI IK. Sept. 10 At the family residence in Alpine this morning at 3 o'clock, death claimed L. Jeffery Vance, aged 56 years, from an arfcctlon of the kidneys. He was conscious until the last and made final arrangements for settling set-tling his affairs with different members of his family. Mr. Vance was born at Alpine. August 5, 1S57, and was the son of Major John W. Vance and Angclla Vail Vance, pioneers pio-neers of Alpine. He Is survived bv hla widow and rix chlldrpn 1imMc' im. mother, three brothers, James W, Vance of Alpine, I. R. Vance of this city, John A. Vance of Provo and two nlsters, Mrs. Rhoda Beck and Mrs. Angclla Clarke of Alpine. Funeral services will be held from the Alpine ward meeting house at I o'clock Friday afternoon. |
