Cattlo rustlera are being rounded up in tho nortlrwcstorn port of Bos Eldor county by Sheriff Josoph Josophson. A great deal of trouble Is experienced by cattle atA horse owners in that locality, as thioves arc operating on an extensive scale, and have shipped stolen cattlo and horses out In car lots. Although shipping ship-ping points on the Orogon Short Linn in Idaho and the Southern Paclllc in Utah and Xovnda. have boon carefully guarded guard-ed by tho officers, the thieves were successful suc-cessful In making a shipment of a carload car-load of cattlo to Canada a few days ago, This carload was traced to Its destination, destina-tion, howovcr, and an effort will bo mado to secure the cattlo for their owners. Sheriff, Josophson is working with the sheriffs of Elko county, Nevada, and Cassia Cas-sia county, Idaho, to run tho band of robbers down. The thieves are operating operat-ing In the neighborhood of tho boundaries of the three states of Utah, Idaho and Nevada, and therefore it requires the throe sheriffs to do tho work, Tho sheriff returned to Brigham City this morning after an outing of several days rn tho mountains in that neighborhood, neighbor-hood, Ho broughL two men in who were caught in the act of killing' cattlo for tho market. Tho men, whose names wero withheld, wero lodged in tho county Jail to await, the action of tho district court, as a case will bo brought, aaginst them.
