Show FOREST FIRES IN IDAHO ARE NOW UNDER CONTROL OGDEN, Utah. Aug. 28. Forester E. A. Sherman, of District No. -1. with headquarters head-quarters In this city, announced this afternoon that the llres In Idaho of this district are now under control. In the Island Park district, where a big fire was raging yesterday, Supervisor Barnett, to whom Forester Sherman sent 100 fire lighters yesterday morning now has a force of 300 men. including those furnished fur-nished by the Oregon Short Line Railroad company. Supervisor Barnett was advised that If ho was In need of additional men to notify noti-fy the local office today. As no advices were received this afternoon Forester Sherman sent tho ten experienced fire lighters whom ho had gathered here last night to Missoula this afternoon. Forester Sherman received this afternoon after-noon a telephone message from Supervisor Super-visor Woods of the Saw Tooth forest, stating that all of the llres there were under control and that tho fire would burn Itself out in a short time. Advices received this evening from Spencer, Idaho, stated that the fire In Antelopo valley, twcnty-llvo miles east of that place, was now under control. |
