Show 1 I President Hyde So Said to the I Mormon People of Rock- I land. I WORD IS AUTHENTIC 1 AiD THE DATE GIVEN I This Will Be a Significant Fac-I Fac-I for in the Tuesday I Primaries. BY C. E. ABNEY. Special to The Tribune. BOISE, Idabo, Aug. 28. Ycstcrday morning I roceived the following letter I from Poeatello from an old friend who I is tho soul of honor and who would not I have made- the statement below had I thcro been any possibility of its mac- I curaov: , , , ,. I 'Bishop Hyde of Poeatello asked tho people of Rockland, from the pulpit, on Sundnv evening, August 14, to voto for Brady:" . My correspondent is wrong only in that "Bishop Hyde" is f' President Hyde J' He is president of tho Poea tello slake of Zion. Rockland is a settlement set-tlement in Oneida county some eighteen ! miles south of American Falls, in the Poeatello ecclesiastical stake of Zion. Any word delivered to the saints of Rockland by their president, therefore, would bo sacred words; not a suggestion, sugges-tion, but a command. This harmonizes with my stor3' in last Wednesday's issue of the paper in which J predicted that tho loading Mormons Mor-mons of Idaho, tho bishops, presidents and councillors were for Brady. Rockland precinct vote on next Tuesday Tues-day will, in view of these instructions., be' interesting to analyze. |
