The members of the Betterment league arc highly elated over the conviction of one of tho men in the Turf gambling case. . The case against the Elephant gambling gam-bling house, which is now being waged, promises to bo the most bitterly contested. con-tested. After it is settled," tho next case to be tried will probably be that of the St. Louis gambling house.
