Show Fanning for Prohibition. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Aug. 28. Before one of the largest audiences that has gathered In the tabernacle for several months, Michael Mi-chael J. Fanning, a prominent Irish reformer re-former and prohibition lecturer, spoke in opposition to the saloons at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The tabernacle was packed to tlie doors. Mr. Fanning is on his way to Oregon, where he has been engaged to speak during the campaign which is being waged against the saloons there. Ho was persuaded to stop here by the officers of the Betterment league, under whose auspices the address was given. |
