Xotlce is hereby given by tho City Council of Salt Lake- City of the Intention of such Council to make Ihu following described de-scribed improvement, to wit j To grade, gutter and curb witli cement, and pave with asphalt (said 'asphalt pavement to bo fifty (50) feet wide between be-tween curbs, and eight and 1-2 (8) Inches thick). Eighth South street, between Main and Stato -trccts, in Paving District No. 8. and defray tho abutters' portion of tho cost and expense thereof, estimated at eleven thousand and eighty-eight ($11.-0SS.00) ($11.-0SS.00) dollars, or eight and -10-100 (S8.40) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property, thero being 1320 feet abutting said Improvement, by a local assessment upon tho lotrf or pieces of giound In the following described district, being the district dis-trict to be affected und benefited by said improvement, nimcly; All of tho south side of lots 1, 2, 3 and 1, block 1C; all of th. north sldo of lots 5 and 6, block 3, all in plat A, Salt Lako City Survey. The total cost of said improvement Is estimated at c-l-svcn thousand seven hundred thirty-five and 83-100 ,(J11.-735.89) ,(J11.-735.89) dollars, of which sum the City's portion Is six hundred forty-seven and 89-100 (SG-17.89) dollars, leaving eleven thousand and eighty-olght (5U.0S8.00) dollars dol-lars to bo rt'lsed by local assessment All protests and objections to tho carrying car-rying out of such Intention must be presented pre-sented In writing to the City Recorder on or beforo the 2nd day of November, 190S, being the timo set by said Council when' it will hear and consider such protests and objections as may be made thereto.
