MAIN STREET TO BE CLEARED OF POLES Main street will be cleared of tho poles and wires in the center of the thoroughfare within a few days, it is predicted. Arthur Long, manager of tho Western Union Telegraph compan', has awarded tho contract, for the ro-moval ro-moval of that concern 's wires and poles from the center of tho street to Snca-then Snca-then & Alstrand. Active operations will begin Tuesday, it is said, as all the new connections have been made. The lines of poles, with wiros, are to be removed, and then the trolley poles of the Utah Light & Railway company com-pany will be taken down as soon as tho now curbstone standards can bo wired. This will leave Main street in tho business section entirely free from unsightly un-sightly poles and wires in the center as to trolley and electric light standards. It is said by the contractors that they can effect, tho removal of the wires and poles inside of ten days.
