Show NEW YORK YACHT CLUB HILL Cjtt COURSE Morris Cove Is to Be Cut Out; Feature Events Sailed After Cruise, , " Tribune Special Sporting Service. NEW YOJRK, July 20. The New York Yacht club will depart from its usual courso in the annual cruise. There has been a general demand for a deviation devia-tion from tho beaten path to introduce somo novelty into the cruise. Tho flag officers have acceded to the widespread feeling, and tho course will bo changed materially. Among other things, Morris Mor-ris Cove will bn cut out and tho big foaturo ovcntB will be sailed at; the end of tho cruise. The club fleet will rendezvous at Glen Cove on Thursday, August 8. On Friday Fri-day the fleet will race over a proscribed pro-scribed course, aggregating probably thirty miles, and finishing at Huntington. Hunting-ton. Tho courso will bo quadrangular in all probability, taking tho boats to tho westward of Glen Cove and returning return-ing eastward later. On Saturday, August Au-gust 10, tho second day out, an early start will bo made to Now London. Tho flcot will lio at New London over Sunday, Sun-day, as usual, and proceed eastward on Monday. The first run fronl Now London on August 12 will be, as usual, to Now-port, Now-port, but instead of laying there and racing for tho big cups tho ftoet will proceed on August 111 to Vinej-ard Haven Ha-ven and return to Newport ou August 34. Then on August 15 tho Astor cup race will be held, and on August 16 the King's cup race; Tho Astor cups will bo two. one for sloops and ono for schooners, racing on full timo allow-ancp, allow-ancp, eacvh in one class without time limit, whilo tho King's cup will bo open to sloops of over fifty-foot; water-lino water-lino and schooners of ov'or sixty-loot watorline, racing together with full time in a. mixed class without limit Tho cruise will end at Newport ou Saturday August 17, with Taces in tho harbor for tho gamecock and owl colors, unless th ore should bo a postponement for I somo reason, when all tho events would be moved back ouo day. Hho chances aro that there will bo a bigger racing floot, both for schooners nnd sloops, than over before. Moro measurements havo been filed than for nuy previous cruiso at this time, whilo tho "accompanying fleet of stoamers will bo larger than ever, no doubt. Among tho boats likely to rnco aro: Schooners Invader, Conslollation, Queen. Ingomar, Blmira, Corona, Emerald, Emer-ald, Endymion, AEuricl, Ariel, Amorita, Katrina, Eclipse, Lasca and others.
